Beryl Vs. Yvonne

Continuing along the cycling/Beryl Burton theme I've been messing around with a couple of portraits, which are a bit more directly related to my initial Beryl Burton theme.

A Little Cycling Sketchbook

This has been a bit of a mammoth day of blogging for me, I think I've needed to do this for a while, but these drawings are a bit more current. They are part of a little project I'm playing around with inspired by a BBC radio 4 afternoon play written by Maxine Peake called 'Beryl: A love story on two wheels', and a pile of 1970s 'Cycling' magazines which are occupying a corner of my room.

I'll be posting a few more drawings from this series in the coming weeks so keep an eye out.

Circled Drawings.

I think if I was being fancy I could describe them as vignettes, but really they're just a couple of drawings that've been sitting on my desk for a while. They clearly don't have any real relationship other than their border but I quite like them and I've been meaning to do something with them for a while.
